'Pulang Araw' songs are now available on Spotify, other music platforms

The "Pulang Araw" original soundtrack is now available on various music platforms, such as Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music!

It includes some of the songs featured in the series, such as "Some Of These Days," "Home On The Range," and "Naku, Kenkoy!"

"Some Of These Days," originally performed by Sophie Tucker, was sang by Julie Anne San Jose. The actress also performed the song when she appeared as Katy Dela Cruz, the Queen of Bodabil, in the series.

Another version of the song was also recorded by Sanya Lopez and Barbie Forteza, who play Teresita Borromeo and Adelina Dela Cruz. The characters performed the song during their first audition for Cine Bayani.

"Home On The Range," meanwhile, was performed by Derrick Monasterio, who appeared as the singer Marcel in "Pulang Araw." The state song of Kansas, it was composed by Daniel Kelley with lyrics penned by Brewster Higley.

A young Teresita and Adelina also sang the song with their father Julio Borromeo (Epy Quizon) before he disappeared.

Finally, Sanya performed "Naku, Kenkoy!" which was Teresita and Adelina's piece for their second audition. The song was composed by legendary Filipino musician Nicanor Abelardo, who was known for his kundiman songs before World War II.

Aside from Barbie and Sanya, "Pulang Araw" also stars David Licauco, Alden Richards, and Dennis Trillo.

The series airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8:00 p.m. after "24 Oras." It is also streaming on Netflix, where it is currently no. 1 on the Top 10 TV Shows in the Philippines Today.
