Dennis Trillo posts new dancing TikTok filmed at 'Pulang Araw' set

Dennis Trillo took to social media to share a dancing video he filmed at the set of "Pulang Araw."

In his video uploaded on TikTok, the Kapuso actor could be seen vibing to a viral audio, wearing one of his costumes for the series.

"So…alam n'yo na gingawa ko pag wala akong mashadong Japanese lines sa taping," Dennis wrote in the caption.

Dennis's character in the series, Col. Yuta Saitoh, marks his first-ever major kontrabida role. He is a Japanese imperial army officer whose mission is to conquer the Philippines.

Part of the preparation he did for the project was to learn the Japanese language, acknowledging that it's difficult to play a character with a different ethnicity.

"Mahirap gumanap ng isang character na iba ang lahi, na iba ang pananalita niya," Dennis said.

"Nag-aral siya [Yuta Saitoh] sa Pilipinas pero siyempre nagsasalita siya ng tatlong lenggwahe, may Hapon, Tagalog at English. So, 'yung mga accent niya siyempre iisipin mo hindi naman siya puwedeng straight mag-Tagalog, hindi naman siya puwedeng straight mag-English," he added.

"Pulang Araw" traces the intertwined lives of four childhood friends: Adelina (Barbie Forteza), Teresita (Sanya Lopez), Hiroshi (David Licauco), and Eduardo (Alden Richards).

"Pulang Araw" airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." It is also streaming on Netflix, where it is currently no. 1 on the Top 10 TV Shows in the Philippines Today.
