'My Hero Academia' manga ends after 10 years

“My Hero Academia” has concluded Midoriya Izuku’s story after 10 years.

The manga by Kohei Horikoshi released its final chapter, Chapter 430, on August 4 (Philippine time).

First serialized on Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014, “My Hero Academia” quickly gained popularity and was adapted into a hit anime series, which is currently on its seventh season.

The story follows Midoriya Izuku, a teenage boy born without a quirk in a superpowered world, in his journey to become the greatest hero in the world.

Aside from the anime, four movies were also introduced into the franchise: "My Hero Academia: Two Heroes" (2018), "My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising" (2019), "My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission" (2021), and most recently, "My Hero Academia: You're Next" (2024). —JCB, GMA Integrated News
