Kim Ji Won overwhelmed by Pinoy fans' warm welcome during fan meet

Kim Ji Won could not believe the warm welcome she received from her Filipino fans during her Be My One fan meeting on Saturday at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.

As seen in Nelson Canlas's report on "24 Oras Weekend," Sunday, the South Korean actress could only cover her mouth in pleasant surprise when she saw the jam-packed audience and their loud cheers.

For her opening number, Kim Ji Won performed "Stupid Cupid," which she sang in the 2011 series "What's Up."

"Actually I was looking forward na makita ko kayong lahat. Ang lakas ng pag-welcome n'yo sa akin and I was actually nervous a little nagkamali ako ng lyrics kanina," she said through an interpreter.

Kim Ji Won arrived in the Philippines on Friday for the fan meet. She said she immediately requested for the famous Philippine mangoes.

"Of course I did have mangoes when I was in Korea but I heard that Filipino mangoes are the best that's why when I arrived I asked for mangoes and napakasarap talaga," she said.

"You know the Filipino mangoes are the best, right? But did you also know that the Filipino fans are the best as well? I know. Now you know," she added.

Kim Ji Won is known for playing Hong Hae In in hit Korean drama "Queen of Tears," where she starred alongside Kim Soo Hyun.

She also starred in "Descendants of the Sun," "Fight For My Way," "Lovestruck in the City," and "The Heirs."
