ITZY in Manila: 5 highlights from Born To Be concert

K-pop girl group ITZY just capped off their "Born To Be" in Manila concert on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena, and despite the rains and gloomy weather, the cheers from their Filipino MIDZYs were blazing hot!

1. Wannabe Band 

ITZY's concert was not just about them, but it's also about the live band that accompanied them in the two-hour show.

Called Wannabe Band, the live band provided additional color to the group's great vocal prowess.

2. Solo stages

Fans were not only seated for their group performance, but also with their solo stages that unraveled their individual personalities. 

After their electrifying opening number with the songs "Born To Be" and "Wannabe," ITZY charmed the audiences through the songs they personally wrote.

Chaeryeong and Yeji showed their sultry side with their performance of "Mine" and "Crown in My Head." Meanwhile, Yuna unraveled her sassy side with the song "Yet, But," and lastly Ryujin proved that she can be a great singer too with her "Run Away" performance.

3. Tagalog Ment 

One of the most anticipated and special parts of any concert is the ment. It is part of the show where idols talk and interact with their fans, and ITZY made sure to make that moment extra special for Filo MIDZYs as they tried to speak not only in English but also in Tagalog!

During their ment, the girls introduced themselves in Tagalog to the delight of their fans. They also thanked and expressed their love for MIDZYs through Tagalog words such as "Salamat po," and "Mahal ko kayo."

While performing "Mr. Vampire," one of the members even screamed "sabay tayo kumanta," with MIDZYs singing along with them.

4. Pantropiko Dance Challenge and 'eyy ka muna' 

Eyy nation rise!

During ITZY's concert, you can say that our beloved P-pop queens BINI had an exposure as their hit song "Pantropiko" was played in the arena.

Yeji, Ryujin, Chaeryeong and Yuna all gave their A-game as they hopped on to the "Pantropiko" dance challenge not just once but twice!

Aside from the dance challenge, the "eyy" phrase and hand gesture popularized by BINI's Sheena also had its moment in the show with the members especially Chaeryeong doing it.

5. MIDZYs' moment 

A concert is especially made for fans, and ITZY made sure that their beloved MIDZYs will have their moment!

During the concert, a special dance segment for MIDZYs was made. In this short segment, a clip of ITZY dance videos will appear on screen where fans can dance to. As fans dance, a spotlight will point to a random fan whose face will appear on the screen.

Aside from this solo dance moment, there was also a dance battle among fans.
