Cup of Joe drops 'Misteryoso' MV starring BINI's Jhoanna and directed by SB19's Justin
Today’s top OPM artists have joined forces!
Cup of Joe on Friday released the music video for their latest single “Misteryoso,” and it stars Jhoanna of BINI and was directed by Justin of SB19. It was produced by SB19’s company, 1Z Entertainment.
The video shows Cup of Joe working at a design company. When the BINI leader enters the office, the band’s vocalist Gian Bernardino is instantly attracted. Gian starts to imagine scenarios with Jhoanna in a fantasy setting, but he always ends up back in reality.
Gian also leaves sweet love notes for Jhoanna and gives her a cup of coffee. The COJ members support their love story, until the two finally get together and they all celebrate.
The last part of the music video shows bloopers and behind-the-scenes footage, where Justin’s guidance could be heard.
On Saturday morning, the hashtags #MisteryosoCOJJJ, #CupOfJhoAtMisteryosoMV, #BINI_Jhoanna, and the topic Jhoanna Ngiting Misteryoso, were among the trending topics on X.
“Misteryoso” also reached the no. 3 spot on YouTube’s trending for music. As of this writing, it has 500,000 views and counting.
In an Instagram post, Jhoanna called the experience “a full circle moment,” adding that the whole team “was just amazing.”
“Nakangiti lang ako while watching the music video kasi nag-eenioy lang din kami habang shinooshoot ‘to,” she said.
Jhoanna also thanked SB19’s Justin for directing the music video and the boyband’s company 1Z Entertainment for producing.
“Napakahusay niyo po!” she said.
“And of course, to the band that saved me during the pandemic and my fave ‘til now, @cupofjoemusic_ I can’t believe I got to work with you on this beautiful song. Angas niyoooo,” she added and tagged the members.
Cup of Joe is best known for the songs “Tingin,” “Estranghero,” and “Ikaw Pa Rin Ang Pipiliin Ko.” They were among the performers for Lola Amour’s concert in support of their debut album.
Meanwhile, BINI’s latest single “Cherry on Top” was released this month, and its music video reached 2 million views in less than 24 hours.
The Nation’s Girl Group is currently in Los Angeles as part of the performer lineup for KCON. The girls will have the two-night Grand BINIverse concert at the Araneta Coliseum on November 16 and 17.
