Jin of BTS to launch own show 'Run Jin' this August

ARMYs, your Tuesday treat is back, but instead of "Run BTS," you get "Run Jin!"

Jin just announced that he's launching a variety show of his own, seemingly a variant of BTS' long-running series "Run BTS."

In the teaser posted on the BANGTANTV YouTube channel, Jin could be seen entering a van, the day after he was discharged from the South Korean military.

"Of course we should make content," Jin told the cameraman. When told that he could have taken more time of, he said, "What's the use of that? We should get started right away."

Jin then walked himself to making plans to hike on a mountain, which is what the first episode will be about.

"We're starting off episode one with hiking, all because I mentioned it in passing?" he said with a laugh.

"It's nothing I can't do," he also said.

"Run Jin" will premiere on August 13, Tuesday, at 9 p.m. KST, the same time slot of "Run BTS" before it went on indefinite break ahead of the group's mandatory enlistment.

Jin has been busy since he was discharged on June 12 after serving in the military for 18 months.

He led this year's Festa, the annual month-long celebration of BTS' anniversary, with performances and a hug event. He also graced the cover of W Korea magazine.

Earlier this month, he flew to Paris and participated in the 2024 Olympic Games as South Korea's torchbearer.

In a recent interview with Weverse magazine, he said he is hard at work on his solo album. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
