Noriko Ohara, the voice of Nobita in 'Doraemon,' dies at 88

Noriko Ohara, who voiced the character of Nobita in "Doraemon," has passed away. She was 88 years old.
Her company, 81 Produce, announced on Tuesday that she died on July 12 due to ineffective treatment for an undisclosed illness. Noriko's family held a private funeral.
"We would like to express our deepest gratitude for the kindness shown to us during her lifetime and to inform you of her passing," 81 said on their website.
As a voice actress, her other roles include Conan in "Future Boy Conan," Peter in "Heidi, Girl of the Alps," and Mattia in "Nobody's Boy: Remi."
She was also the voice of Hiyoshi Go (known as Little John in the Philippines) and Katherine (Zandra) in "Voltes V."
