'Running Man Korea' returns to Manila: 5 highlights from the 'Run 2 U' show
The cast of "Running Man Korea" has once again returned to the Philippines for a fun event dedicated to the show's Filipino fans.
Yu Jae Seok, Jee Seok Jin, Kim Jong Kook, HaHa, Song Ji Hyo, and Yang Se Chan were all present at the event titled "Running Man Live in Manila: Run 2 U," which was held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Here are 5 highlights from the fun-filled event.
1. Opening act by "Running Man Philippines" cast
The show kicked off with an opening act prepared by the Season 2 runners of the show's Philippine adaptation, Glaiza De Castro, Mikael Daez, Kokoy De Santos, Lexi Gonzales, Buboy Villar, and Miguel Tanfelix.
Buboy sang "Raining in Manila," Miguel and Kokoy had an energetic dance performance together, Glaiza performed "Tala," and Lexi and Angel teamed up to sing some Bini songs.
Just like the attendees, the Filipino runners were just as excited to watch the show. After their performance, they joined the guests in enjoying the rest of the event.
2. Solo stages and unit stages
After the Filipino runners' performances, the members of "Running Man Korea" took over the stage, finally greeting their Filipino viewers again since their visit in April last year.
Aside from their performances as a group, the cast also had their solo stages and unit stages, entertaining the audience with a variety of acts, from Ji Hyo's adorable presentation to Jong Kook's powerful singing.
3. Games galore
Fans were also thrilled to witness the cast's hilarious personalities and competitiveness in person through the games they played.
From the line-recalling challenge to the costume relay game, the activities kept everyone on the edge of their seats, laughing and cheering along.
4. Fans' cosplay
Some fans creatively dressed up as their chosen cast member and even joined the stage for group photos and a telepathy game.
While only one of them ended up winning the grand prize of having a solo photo with the entire cast, all of the participants took home special gifts from their chosen cast.
5. "Running Man Korea" members' gratitude for Filipino fans
Throughout the concert, the "Running Man Korea" cast kept on expressing their deep appreciation and love for their Filipino fans.
HaHa promised that they will continue doing the best they can so they can give back the love they are receiving from their supporters.
Ji Hyo also hoped that more opportunities for them to once again come back to the Philippines would come their way.
