2NE1 to meet with YG Entertainment amid comeback rumors
Is a 2NE1 comeback in the works?
YG Entertainment—the iconic girl group’s former agency—confirmed that all four members are set to meet with founder and executive producer Yang Hyun Suk in the coming days. This confirmation comes after reports that 2NE1 is planning to meet with the executive surfaced, and sparked rumors of a comeback or reunion project.
“It is true that the executive producer and the members are scheduled to meet. Other than that, we have no further details to confirm at this time,” YG Entertainment said in a statement published by Soompi.
The report added that 2NE1 leader CL and Yang Hyun Suk had dinner together in May but it was not an official company meeting.
2NE1 reunited last May for a photoshoot in celebration of their 15th debut anniversary. Their most recent performance was in 2022, when the members got together for CL’s set at Coachella.
The group disbanded in 2016 and left YG Entertainment, but has had several mini reunions through the years.
2NE1 is composed of CL, Bom, Dara, and Minzy.
