V of BTS teases new project with shirtless photo
The BTS ARMY was in for a surprise with V’s new poster.
At midnight Korean time on Wednesday, V’s poster for “TYPE 1” was released on the BTS social media and Weverse accounts.
The black-and-white photo showed a shirtless V leaning against a door. Lyrics from V’s first self-composed song “Scenery” are written on the poster, as well as his real name, Kim Taehyung.
Fans speculate whether “TYPE 1” will be new music or a photobook by the artist.
Pre-orders for ‘TYPE 1” start on June 27 at 11 a.m. KST or 12 p.m. in the Philippines, and the release date will be July 9 with no announced time.
V released his debut solo album “Layover” last September 2023. It includes the songs “Love Me Again,” “Rainy Days,” “Slow Dancing,” “Blue,” and “For Us.”
His latest solo single “FRI(END)S” was released in March.
Early this year, V starred in IU’s music video for “Love Wins All” and was featured in UMI’s song “Wherever U R.”
V is currently undergoing his mandatory military service. So far, Jin is the only member of BTS to complete his service.
