KATSEYE, with Filipina member Sophia Laforteza, will release their debut single this June

World, get ready for KATSEYE — and Filipino talent!

The newest girl group under HYBE Labels is all set to make their debut on June 28. An introductory video got EYEKONS excited for Sophia from the Philippines, Daniela, Lara, and Megan from the USA, Manon from Switzerland, and Yoonchae from South Korea.

KATSEYE’s debut has been teased for months, with the date revealed in mid-June.

The group was formed through the reality show “The Debut: Dream Academy.” Organized by HYBE and Geffen Records, the show saw contestants take part in the K-Pop idol training system before debuting as a global girl group. Twenty aspiring idols competed, selected from 120,000 applicants from all across the world.

HYBE is the agency that manages global artists like BTS, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN, NewJeans, and many more.

Sophia Laforteza was the only Filipino contestant and is the first Filipino artist under HYBE.
