Rosé of BLACKPINK on signing with The Black Label: 'They will be there to support my music'

Rosé of BLACKPINK has directly confirmed that she signed with The Black Label for her individual activities.

In an Instagram statement, the South Korean singer said she didn't want to "speak or announce anything before I had everything aligned for my music to be out."

"As you all know, I have come from a place where more things have been done for me over doing things on my own," she said. “So, naturally, I need time to learn, understand, doubt and trust myself and others countless times to be the most responsible person I can be for myself (Honestly I wish I could have an extra 4 more years in my twenties so I can learn all of that! Lol)."

With that, Rosé said that she is set to release new music soon and that she has been working on it almost everyday.

“Starting at the end of last year to all throughout this year, I’ve been in and out of the studio almost every single day, working on new music,” she said. “This has been a year of drawing up a map and navigating to where I want to be and what I want to be doing going forward. It has been months of learning how to be an independent person for myself.”

She then expressed excitement to be managed by The Black Label, who has been “helping me navigate towards achieving my dreams.”

"Label, management, all of that stuff (which I know you’re all quite excited about!!!!), they will all be there to support my music and my dreams. And I am SO excited for that," she said.

“I know you have many questions but this is only the first exciting puzzle piece to a much bigger picture. Love u,” she added.

It was reported on Tuesday that Rosé signed with The Black Label, which is under BLACKPINK's agency YG Entertainment, for her solo work.

Fellow BLACKPINK members Lisa, Jennie, and Jisoo earlier launched their own labels for their solo activities: Lisa with Lloud, Jennie with Odd Atelier, and Jisoo with Blissoo.

In December 2023, BLACKPINK renewed their contracts for group activities with YG Entertainment but not for individual activities.
