Jimin of BTS to release second solo album 'MUSE' in July
Jimin has a treat for you, BTS ARMY!
The singer is all set to release his second solo album, “MUSE,” in July, his record label BIGHIT MUSIC announced on Weverse.
“Following his first solo album, ‘FACE,’ where he sought to explore his true identity, ‘MUSE’ documents his journey in search of the source of his inspiration,” the announcement said.
The upcoming album was also teased on BTS’ X account, and showed a Reel of Jimin in a suit with light hair. The quick clip showed him opening a purple locker for sheet music.
“MUSE” also promises to showcase Jimin’s expanded musical spectrum. It will include seven tracks, including the fan song “Closer Than This,” released in December 2023.
Pre-orders start on June 18, Tuesday at 10 a.m., Philippine time.
The album will be released on July 19, Friday at 12 p.m., Philippine time.
Jimin released his debut solo album “Face” in March 2023, which has the hit singles “Set Me Free Pt. 2” and "Like Crazy." The top idol is also part of the soundtrack of “Fast X.”
In April 2023, Jimin became the first Korean soloist to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
BTS is currently on hiatus as the members undergo their mandatory military service. They are set to reconvene as a group in 2025.
Jin was the first member to complete his service and was discharged from the military on June 12.
