K-drama 'Hierarchy' releases official teaser
A new South Korean series is arriving on June 7 and it has all the elements that make for a gripping drama: secrets, tension, scandal, and conflict.
"Hierarchy" centers on the lives of students at the prestigious private Jooshin High School. The top 0.01% students control the school's rigid social hierarchy through their wealth and status, mirroring the corruption that is also seen in society at large. The arrival of a secretive transfer student, however, threatens the school's established order.
The series' cast stars up and coming South Korean actors, such as Roh Jeong Eui of "Badland Hunters" and "Our Beloved Summer" as Jung Jae I, the most popular girl in Jooshin High School.
Lee Chae Min, known for "Crash Course in Romance and "Alchemy of Souls," will feature in the series as Kang Ha, the scholar transferee, while Kim Jae Won of "King the Land" and "Our Blues" fame will play the role of Kim Ri An, Jae I's boyfriend and the school's "king." Other actors include Chi Hae Won as Yoon He Ra and Lee Won Jeong as Lee Woo Jin.
"Hierarchy" is directed by Bae Hyeon Jin of "Start Up" and "Alchemy of Souls" and written by Chu Hye Mi ("About Time.")
The series will be exclusively released on Netflix.
