'Wicked' unveils breathtaking trailer featuring Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo

Make way for witches of Oz, who are taking center stage in the upcoming film adaptation of "Wicked!"

The first official trailer of the highly awaited film did not disappoint as it takes viewers to the fantastical Land of Oz — specifically, to Shiz University, where Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda (Ariana Grande) meet.

Elphaba, who has unusual green skin, forges a unlikely friendship with the privileged and popular Glinda after a turbulent start.

But as Elphaba's innate power gets discovered, she catches the attention of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

The trailer also shares a glimpse of the musical numbers, as well as Ariana and Cynthia's take on the iconic "Defying Gravity."

It also features Michelle Yeoh as Shiz University’s regal headmistress Madame Morrible and Jeff Goldblum as the legendary Wizard of Oz.

The film also stars Jonathan Bailey (“Bridgerton,” “Fellow Travelers”) as Fiyero, a roguish and carefree prince; Tony nominee Ethan Slater (Broadway’s “Spongebob Squarepants”) as Boq, an altruistic Munchkin student; Marissa Bode in her feature-film debut as Nessarose, Elphaba’s favored sister; and Emmy winner Peter Dinklage as Dr. Dillamond.
