‘House of the Dragon’ releases Season 2 official trailer
Gear up GOT fans because the second season of "House of the Dragon" is coming soon!
On YouTube Tuesday, the “Game of Thrones” spinoff series released a 140 second trailer with Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) entering the throne room in the Red Keep and marveling at the Iron Throne.
The trailer also featured the dragons, including Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) and her dragon Syrax, and Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney) on his dragon Sunfyre.
As the duel begins, Rhaenyra can be heard saying “The war is coming and neither of us will win,” with a mighty dragon spewing fire in her background.
The eight-episode second season of the HBO Original drama series will premiere on June 17 on HBO and HBO GO.
"House of the Dragon" first aired in August 2022 with 10 episodes. It was renewed for a second season in the same year, and began production in 2023.
"House of the Dragon" is the prequel to "Game of Thrones." It stars Emma D'Arcy as Rhaenyra, Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen, Tom Glynn-Carney as Aegon II, Olivia Cooke as Queen Alicent Hightower, Ewan Mitchell as Aemond, and Eve Best as Rhaenys Targaryen.
Based on George R.R. Martin's book "Fire and Blood," "House of the Dragon" is set 172 years before the events in "Game of Thrones," when the Targaryens are at the height of their power.
