R’bonney Gabriel tries Filipino street food

R’bonney Gabriel tries Filipino street foods while speaking in Taglog

Since R’bonney Gabriel is staying in the Philippines for a longer period, the Filipino-American beauty queen is making the most out of her time by familiarizing herself with Filipino culture.

On TikTok, R’bonney shared a video of herself trying out some of Filipinos’ favorite street foods while trying her best to speak in Tagalog.

Some of the dishes she tried include hilaw na mangga with bagoong, tokneneng (boiled chicken eggs coated in orange batter), and kwek kwek (boiled quail eggs coated in orange batter).

“Kumakain ako ng street food of Sultan Kudarat,” she said in the video, looking mighty proud of her Tagalog skills, as she proceeded to describe the food items.

Last week, R’Bonney wore her fashion designer hat and went fabric shopping in Divisoria where she practiced her “tawad” skills.

R’Bonney returned to the Philippines earlier this month for modeling, hosting, and guesting gigs. Of course beach trips are also on the agenda.

The first Filipino-American Miss Universe said she also wants to try acting soon, and hopes to work with Anne Curtis.

R’Bonney is the host of this year’s Miss Universe Philippines coronation night happening in May, where Michelle Dee is set to crown her successor.
