'Queen of Tears' is 'most-watched program of any kind' in South Korea on Saturday —report
"Queen of Tears" just recorded its highest rating for Episode 15 which aired on Saturday.
According to a Soompi report, the hit K-drama series "was the most-watched program of any kind to air on Saturday," with an average nationwide rating of 21.1 percent based on Nielsen Korea.
Previously, it surpassed "Goblin" as the second highest-rated romance drama series on tvN, scoring an average nationwide rating of 20.7%. "Crash Landing on You" remains on top.
Earlier, it was announced that "Queen of Tears" will air its finale episode earlier than the show's regular time. In the Philippines, it will air at 10:20 p.m. instead of 10:30 p.m., exclusively on Netflix.
"Queen of Tears" follows the story of Hong Hae In (Kim Ji Won), a third-generation chaebol heiress of Queens Group, and her husband Baek Hyun Woo (Kim Soo Hyun), a lawyer and the legal director of the company. The couple is on the brink of divorce.
According to Netflix, "Queen of Tears" has been in the Philippine Top 10 TV charts for five weeks now. It's also placed in the TV charts for 40 other countries.
"Queen of Tears" will be airing its finale on Sunday.
