Beyond 'Pantropiko': BINI song guide for new Blooms

Beyond 'Pantropiko': BINI song guide for new Blooms

It's summer time in the Philippines and BINI's '"Pantropiko" is looking like our chosen collective soundtrack.

Released in November 2023, "Pantropiko" has been dominating the airwaves, streaming sites, and social media, reaching more than 20 million streams on Spotify and 7 million views for its music video on YouTube as of writing.

However, BINI — composed of Aiah, Colet, Gwen, Jhoanna, Maloi, Mikha, Sheena, and Stacey — is more than "Pantropiko."

We mean: The "Nation's Girl Group" was scheduled to have one night concert at the New Frontier Theater in June, but tickets flew out the window that it became a three-night residency from June 28-30. As of writing, all dates are now sold out.

For new Blooms (BINI fans) out there, here are some of their other songs which would make you appreciate BINI more.

1. Salamin, Salamin

BINI's latest release as part of their first EP "Talaarawan," "Salamin, Salamin" is for those who are still waiting for their crushes or love interests. Just wait, as the song goes, "Salamin, Salamin, kailan ba niya ako papansinin?"

2. Lagi

"Lagi," released in 2022 from their album "Feel Good" talks about that sweet feeling of being in love. It just makes you happy and dreamy. Listen also to the bridge to chorus part in the latter part by BINI Jhoanna, Maloi, and Colet -- just amazing.

3. Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi

Familiar with the feeling of not wanting to part ways yet with your friends or loved ones? Or just wanting to savor the moment? Then, "Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi" is for you.

4. Born To Win

It's a song to empower yourself as it encourages you to just do what you want. 'Born To Win' is BINI's debut single released in 2021.

5. Na Na Na

How catchy could PPop sound? One example could be BINI's 'Na Na Na' which went viral on TikTok with at least 520,000 posts using it. This song talks about that state of being confused and falling for a certain person -- "(Na na na na) Nahuhulog ang loob, (Di na na na na) natututo sa noon!"
