Kitchie Nadal to mark 20th anniversary with solo concert in June

Kitchie Nadal will be having solo concert this June to mark her 20th anniversary in the music industry.

Dubbed “Same Ground: Kitchie Nadal’s 20th Anniversary Concert,” the show will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City.

According to a press statement, the homecoming concert “chronicles the singer-songwriter’s journey as an artist who blazed the trail for women in alternative and pop music with uncompromising individuality.”

The solo concert also marks Nadal’s return to the Philippine concert scene, with special guests that include some of her closest music peers in the industry.

“We have a lot of surprises in store for everyone who has supported my work for almost two decades,” the award-winning singer-songwriter said. “I can’t wait to go back home and celebrate this landmark feat with my friends, family members, and fans.”

"Can’t wait to be back," Kitchie wrote on social media as she announced her solo show.

"Kitakits," she added.

Tickets start at P1,281 (balcony) and go all through P4,269 for SVIP. They're available on Ticketnet.

A pillar of OPM rock, Kitchie is the hitmaker behind “Huwag Na Huwag Mong Sasabihin,” “Same Ground,” “Bulong !!!” and “Makulay na Buhay.”

The singer was in the Philippines in 2022 for a concert titled Tanaw with her fellow women rockstars including Barbie Almalbis, Aia de Leon, Hannah Olives, and Acel Bisa, and Lougee Basabas. Following its success, they had a second show titled Tanawin that same year.

Kitchie has been married to Spanish journalist Carlos Lopez since 2015. They have two sons: Keon who was born in 2017 and Iago born in 2023.

Along with her family, Kitchie is now based in Spain.
