‘Queen of Tears’ surpasses ‘Goblin’ as 2nd highest-rated drama series on Korean channel tvN
“Queen of Tears” just surpassed “Goblin” as the second highest-rated romance drama series on the South Korean TV network, tvN. "Crash Landing On You" remains at the top spot.
According to Soompi, the hit K-Drama series’ latest episode (12), starring Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, “scored an average nationwide rating of 20.7 percent, marking a new all-time high for the show.”
“Goblin,” which aired in December 2016, had a peak rating of 20.5 percent, which was then bested by “Crash Landing On You,” starring Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, in 2020 with a peak rating of 24.1 percent, and a nationwide average of 21.7 percent.
“Queen of Tears” follows the story of Hong Hae In (Kim Jo Won), a third-generation chaebol heiress of Queens Group, and her husband Baek Hyun Woo (Kim Soo Hyun) who are on the brink of a divorce.
The series is set to air its finale episode on Netflix on April 28.
