'Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle' movie is heading to the Philippines

Filipino "Haikyuu" fans, this is the news you've been waiting for — the Battle at the Garbage Dump is happening in our theaters!

The movie "Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle" has been confirmed to be heading to Southeast Asia starting this April, according to Anime News Network.

It will open in Hong Kong and Macau on April 11, and Taiwan on April 12, then hit other markets like the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and India in May.

The film premiered in Japan on February 16.

It is set to cover the long-awaited match between Karasuno and Nekoma.

"Haikyuu" is based on the manga by Haruichi Furudate that ended in July 2020. The anime adaptation began airing in 2014. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
