Lola Amour's highly anticipated debut album is here!
Lola Amour finally dropped their much awaited debut album!
The self-titled debut record took years in the making and features nine tracks, including the previously released “Raining in Manila” and “Namimiss Ko Na.”
More songs include “Umiinit,” a James Brown-inspired danceable track, and “Saan Kakapit,” which is a response to “Raining in Manila.”
Lola Amour also sings about the honeymoon stage in “This Ain’t Love;” the confusion of entering something new in “I’ll Give My Heart;” not being ready for a relationship but also not wanting to leave it in “If I Ever Come Back;” and the what-could-have-beens in “Lost For Words.”
The band also got vulnerable about losing a friend due to mental health reasons in “Part II: Bliss.”
Lead guitarist Zoe Gonzales said at the album’s listening party, “Walang two songs that sound alike. They’re really spread out, super diverse.”
Lola Amour will have a two-stop grand album launch at Circuit Event Grounds on April 13, followed by a trip to Draft Punk, Cebu on April 27. They will be playing a long set featuring previous hits and their new songs from the album.They will be joined by OPM bands Cup of Joe and Any Name’s Okay, with hip-hop trio PLAYERTWO performing at the after-party for VIP ticketholders.
It will also be bassist Raymond King’s final show with Lola Amour before he exits the band, and has also worked on some unreleased tracks.
