A lights and arts festival, 'Boni Viva Luci,' is happening in BGC this April

This April, arts and lights are taking center stage at Bonifacio Global City (BGC) for "Boni Viva Luci," an art festival featuring reimagined public artworks elevated with various light treatments.

Set for April 6 to April 14, "Boni Viva Luci" will present a lighted version of creatures by Puppet Theater Manila's Indigenous Wildlife Puppets, "LuminiSense: Our Place in the Cosmos" by Joyce Sahagun Garcia, Ohm David, and Arvy Dimaculangan, and "Giant Dandelions" by Olivia D'Aboville.

Other installations for the festival include "The Abyss" by Winter David and Ohm David and "Reimagined Chandeliers" by Ohm David and Mark Choa, highlighting giant Bioluminescent octopuses and chandeliers with LED tentacles.

On BGC's Glass Bridge, mythical creatures will be brought to life through Cheska Cartativo's "Entanglement: Adarna to Bakunawa." Guests will also be immersed by Leeroy New's unconventional portrayal of the goddess of fertility and death through his "Mebuyan Cradle" coupled with Sigmund Pecho, Ohm David, Arvy Dimaculangan's "Into the Shadows are Heroes" shadow play projections.

Meanwhile, the artworks of Isaiah Cacnio and Joyce Sahagun Garcia, with their intricate take on nature through their artworks "Celestial Waltz" and "Behold the Eclipse, Behold the Light," respectively, will be featured in BGC's iconic giant LED screens during the festival.

Camera Club of the Philippines members, namely, Fred del Rosario, Chito Viñas and Mark Bautista, will also unveil through their incredible eye for natural life through their stills of breathtaking nature via projected images.

Last but not least, visitors may take a night stroll at Purple Terra, where trees are covered in bright purple lights that illuminate the night sky.

"Boni Viva Luci" will stretch across the sprawl of BGC, with installations along Bonifacio High Street, Bonifacio High Street South, Terra 28th Park, The Mind Museum and the BGC Arts Center.
