Marina Summers wins The Rusical episode of 'RuPauls Drag Race: UK vs The World'
Marina Summers just bagged her second win on "RuPauls Drag Race: UK vs The World," making her the first queen to get two RuPeter badges!
In the latest episode, the contestants wrote their own verses on "Seven: Confessions of a Drag Queen," a spin-off of the musical, “Six.”
The runway category is “When I Glow Up,” and Marina elevated her “Terno She Better Don’t” look from “Drag Race Philippines” Episode 1.
“Terno is a national costume in the Philippines and this is a modern take inspired by the national fish, which is milkfish,” Marina said.
“I feel proud as a Filipina walking on the world stage wearing this amazing top-tier drag,” she added. “This is Filipino drag.”
RuPaul, who rarely claps, applauded Marina and said, “Wow.”
“Marina Summers, you were born to be on stage. You were born to do drag. You have represented not only the Philippines but drag in such a way that it makes us all proud for you,” she added.
Marina turned emotional and said that this is "such a dream come true to me."
"I hope I made the Philippines proud with that performance because we don’t get this opportunity a lot back in the Philippines to be seen on an international level so being here means so much to me, and yes, this is Filipino drag, and I’m very very proud to present it here internationally," she said.
Marina previously won the talent show with her "AMAFILIPINA" performance.
She has been representing the Philippines with pride since the first episode, when she made an unforgettable entrance on the show with a stunning Filipiniana look.
