Khalil Ramos, Ashley Ortega's 'As If It's True' is among Netflix's 'Top 10 Movies in the Philippines Today'

Khalil Ramos and Ashley Ortega's film, "As If It's True," has landed on Netflix's list of "Top 10 Movies in the Philippines Today."

The Cinemalaya 2023 entry currently ranks 10th on the list, behind fellow Pinoy films "English Only, Please," "Apag," and "Trip Ubusan: The Lolas vs Zombies."

Directed by John Rogers, "As If It's True" follows the story of a fading social media influencer (Ashley Ortega) and a struggling musician (Khalil Ramos), who stage a relationship with the mutual intent to capitalize on one another. Over time, their fake relationship starts to get a little too real.

Ashley recently starred in figure skating series "Hearts on Ice" with Xian Lim. She is set to star in the upcoming 2024 historical action-drama series "Pulang Araw" alongside Alden Richards, Sanya Lopez, Barbie Forteza and David Licauco.

Khalil, meanwhile, played the grown-up version of Basilio in historical portal fantasy series "Maria Clara at Ibarra." He also starred in the Filipino staging of the musical "Tick, Tick… Boom!"
