UP Fair 2024: 5 quick tips to help you enjoy the night
The annual advocacy-led music fair in UP Diliman is on!
Considered the campus' biggest student-initiated activity, UP Fair is a week-long event that features many of the biggest bands in the country.
If you're attending one, two, or maybe all of this year's UP Fair nights, here are some tips to help you enjoy the event.
1. Pack light and dress for comfort
It's going to be a long night, especially if you're planning to go early to the venue, so it's best to dress comfortably, carry only a small bag, and pack only the essentials.
There's going to be lots of standing, jumping, and dancing around while singing along to your favorite artists, so it's one less thing to worry about if you don't have a heavy bag with you.
2. Bring a blanket
Speaking of long standing hours, it's good if you can bring a light blanket or any alternative to a chair (because chairs are not allowed inside) so you can just lay it down whenever you need to take a break and rest your feet.
Food stalls are also available in the garden, so if you don't like eating while standing up, make sure to take note of this essential.
3. Check the list of prohibited items
Event organizers uploaded a document of pre-event reminders, which includes a list of prohibited items.
Among those not allowed in the venue are e-cigarettes, glass and plastic bottles, insulated bottles over 40 oz in capacity, tripods, and spray containers.
4. Come prepared
Your tickets are ready, the essentials are packed, but don't forget to have enough sleep, eat a proper meal, and hydrate yourself before pouring your energy at the event.
There's going to be a large crowd, so if your body is not ready for the long event, then you might end up not enjoying the show.
5. Make good memories
The UP Fair only happens once a year, so while you're at it, enjoy the moment and capture the good memories you want to immortalize.
Good luck and have fun!
