Paramore transforms into Talking Heads for new song cover

Paramore is on fire! The pop rock band just released a cover of the classic Talking Heads hit, “Burning Down the House.”

Paramore vocalist Hayley Williams dressed upin  David Byrne’s iconic large suit in a video posted by the band and production company A24.

While Paramore stayed true to the rock song, Hayley added her signature high notes.

This cover of “Burning Down the House” is the first release from the upcoming Talking Heads tribute album, “Stop Making Sense.”

The tribute album will feature 16 songs by 16 artists, namely, Paramore, Miley Cyrus, Lorde, girl in red, The National, Teezo Touchdown, Kevin Abstract, BADBADNOTGOOD, Toro y Moi, Blondshell, DJ Tunez, Jean Dawson, Chicano Batman, The Linda Lindas, El Mato, and The Cavemen.

“Stop Making Sense” is also the name of Talking Heads’ concert film, released in 1983 and remastered in 2023 for its 40th anniversary.

Paramore’s cover comes after the band deleted their social media posts, sparking breakup rumors. The band now fulfilled all contract obligations with Atlantic Records, and said that they have an uncertain future.

Paramore released their comeback album “This is Why” in February 2023 and went on tour in support of it.

“This is Why” holds the singles “The News,” “C’est Comme Ca,” and the title track of the same name.
