New 'My Hero Academia' movie drops trailer and release date
A new "My Hero Academia" movie is on the way!
Titled "My Hero Academia: You're Next," the film will be directed by Tensai Okamura, with manga creator Kohei Horikoshi attached as the general supervisor and original character designer.
In the trailer, a man who resembles All Might appears along with a mysterious giant fortress. It also shows members of Class 1A, including Midoriya Izuku, Bakugo Katsuki, and Todoroki Shouto in their pro hero costumes.
According to a report on Anime News Network, the film will have an original story.
"My Hero Academia: You're Next" will be released on August 2 in Japan.
"My Hero Academia" follows high school student Midoriya Izuku, who navigates a superpowered world full of heroes and villains.
