'Avatar: The Last Airbender' packs a fiery punch with action-filled trailer
The elements are going haywire in the "Avatar: The Last Airbender" official trailer!
Netflix finally released an extended look at the live action adaptation of the well-loved cartoon, and it's already full of showdowns.
The trailer starts with Aang's awakening after Katara and Sokka find him encased in an iceberg. Accompanied by Momo and Appa, the three go on a journey to save the world from the Fire Nation.
There's a glimpse of a duel between Zuko and his fire and Katara and her water, as well as Aang defending himself from a fire attack using his winds.
There's even a scene showing Sokka and Suki fighting side by side!
Near the end, Aang's tattoos were shown to be glowing.
"Avatar: The Last Airbender" is based on the popular cartoon series that aired on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008. It follows Aang and his friends as they hone their skills and attempt to end the Hundred Year War in order to bring back peace among the four nations.
Netflix ordered a live-action adaptation in 2018 and began announcing cast members in August 2021.
Starring Gorden Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, and Dallas Liu as Zuko, "Avatar: The Last Airbender" premieres on Netflix on February 22. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
