Sanya Lopez proud to participate in a plastic recycling campaign

Sparkle star Sanya Lopez is a certified eco-warrior!

According to Aubrey Carampel’s report on “24 Oras,” Monday, Sanya proudly participated in a fun walk for the advocacy campaign, “One Less Plastic A Day,” which aims to spread awareness about reducing, reusing, and recycling plastics from beauty and cosmetic products.

The recycled plastic will be used to make school chairs which will be donated to chosen beneficiaries.

“Hindi lang tayo gumaganda ngunit pinapaganda din natin ‘yung kapaligiran natin at iniingatan din natin ‘yung environment natin which is important no na nagiging aware ang bawat brands sa mga ganitong klase ng sitwasyon natin sa mundo na kailangan natin ingatan talaga,” Sanya said.

2024 is a busy year for Sanya. She just finished shooting the movie “Playtime” which also stars Xian Lim, Coleen Garcia, and Faye Lorenzo.

The Kapuso actress also started taping for “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre” wherein she’s set to work with former and new generation sang’gres.

Sanya also started taping and preparing for GMA’s biggest historical family drama series, “Pulang Araw” which also stars Alden Richards, Barbie Forteza, and David Licauco.

Since the story is set during the Japanese occupation era and her role is a bodabil dancer, she said she prepared extensively for it.

“Medyo nag-aadjust pa rin kami ni Barbie pero excited kami para dito sa proyekto na 'to kasi napakaganda at ‘yung iba rin naming mga kasama na cast ay nag-start na kaya naman nakaka-excite,” Sanya said.
