'Avatar: The Last Airbender' releases character posters
"Avatar: The Last Airbender" just released character posters ahead of the premiere of the live-action show on Netflix.
The posters show Aang, Katara, and Zuko, flexing their their control over air, water, and fire. Sokka also got one of his own, where he could be seen brandishing a metal boomerang.
"Avatar: The Last Airbender" is based on the popular cartoon series that aired in Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008. It follows Aang and his friends as they hone their skills and attempt to end the Hundred Year War in order to bring back peace among the four nations.
Netflix ordered a live-action adaptation in 2018 and began announcing cast members in August 2021.
The first teaser trailer was released in November.
"Avatar: The Last Airbender" is set to premiere on Netflix on February 22.
It stars Gorden Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, and Dallas Liu as Zuko.
