Mark Tuan hopes to return to the Philippines with GOT7

If there's one thing Mark Tuan hopes for Filipino Ahgases, it's to reunite with his GOT7 members in the Philippines one day.

During his ment on the “The Other Side Asian Tour” on Sunday, January 14, Mark asked fans who had attended their group concerts in 2016 and 2019, as well as the solo concerts of each GOT7 member (also known as the “GOT7 tingi version”) in Manila. Many fans responded with a resounding “yes.”

After parting ways with JYP Entertainment in 2021, the members of GOT7 ventured into solo activities and have been making solo visits to the country. Mark, in reassurance to his beloved Ahgases, expressed the group's collective sentiment that they will return one day.

“We’re still GOT7. Hopefully, one day, we can come back and visit you guys,” he assured.

Presented by Pulp Live World, the show spanned two hours, featuring Mark performing an array of songs from his extensive discography. Ahgases were captivated not only by his songs and powerful dance skills but also by his visuals and charisma that unveiled different facets of his personality.

As soon as the GOT7 member took the stage, a sea of green lights filled the entire venue, accompanied by wild chants from his adoring fans echoing in the air.

Mark kicked off his solo concert with the song “After Hours,” prompting the crowd to join in singing along. Here's the noteworthy detail: he not only delivered the performance with live vocals but also had a live band accompanying him.

Displaying his R&B flair, Mark treated the audience to performances of his songs “Save Me” and “Faraway,” skillfully complemented by his backup dancers.

His Manila show ended with the song “imysm” and a beautiful fan project from his fans expressing their love and support from the Philippines to the other side of the world.

Aside from his fun-filled performance, the 30-year-old singer also interacted with the Aghases who hilariously chanted “Shot puno! Shot puno!”

Of course, Mark joined the fun and didn’t think twice about single-handedly drinking the cup of water before him.

In case you missed it, the “shot puno” meme has been circulating in their fandom since 2022 after fellow member BamBam used it in a reply to a fan on Twitter. Mark debuted as a member of GOT7 in 2014.

He, together with fellow members Jay B, Jinyoung, Jackson, Bambam, Youngjae, and Yugyeom have headlined two group concerts in the country: “The Flight Log: Turbulence in Manila” show in 2017, and their “Keep Spinning Tour in Manila” in 2019.

Ahead of his jampacked concert at the SM North EDSA Skydome, Mark went on an adventure at the Daranak Fall in Tanay, Rizal last Wednesday.

See you again soon, Mark!
