PH's first recreational flight simulation facility opens in Mandaluyong
Do you want to be a pilot?
If you want to experience what it's like to fly an airplane, you can now experience it in the Philippines's first recreational flight simulation facility!
According to Jamie Santos's report on "24 Oras Weekend," Sunday, Sputnik Aviation in Mandaluyong City offers aspiring pilots a taste of operating an aircraft from the cockpit.
"This is an avenue para to check, 'May passion talaga ako maging piloto?' So instead of paying millions you can just pay below P10,000 para at least maramdaman n'yo just to fly, get to feel what its like to be na airline pilot," said Giann Richmond Ruiz, the commercial director of Sputnik Aviation.
Those who wish to try the simulator may choose from a 30-minute to 120-minute session, which includes the pre- and post-flight briefing, for over P8,000.
"Meron kaming mga flight coaches na they are given a training para bigyan especially 'yung mga zero knowledge, aspiring pilots, frustrated pilots, natuturuan talaga namin sila just the basic how to fly a plane how to move the plane and how to maneuver the plane," Ruiz said.
Sputnik Aviation's flight simulator hails from the United Kingdom. Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro, who is also a pilot, attended the launch of the facility.
