Marina Summers to represent PH in 'RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World' S2

It’s the “Filipina Winner!”

Marina Summers, the runner-up in “Drag Race Philippines” Season 1, is set to represent the country in the sophomore season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. the World.”

On Saturday, “RuPaul’s Drag Race UK” revealed the Season 2 cast on Instagram, with Marina Summers being the only Asian representative.

In a separate post, Marina’s stylist, Paul Sese, shared details on her promo look, an ode to Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.

Marina wore a royal blue mermaid gown by Albert Andrada, the same designer who made Pia’s winning look.

“Taking over the universe, the WORLD rather,” Paul said in the caption.

“World domination of the hottest asian sensation,” he added.

Marina is the first drag queen to represent the Philippines in an international edition of the Emmy Award-winning original series.

Last year, “Drag Race Philippines” announced that it had been renewed for a third season.

The news came two weeks after “Drag Race Philippines” season 2 crowned Captivating Katkat as the winner, making her Precious Paula Nicole’s successor. —Hermes Joy Tunac/KG, GMA Integrated News
