14-year-old Filipina Elisia Parmisano to debut as part of K-pop girl group

Another Filipina is set to make a mark in the K-pop industry!

14-year-old Elisia Parmisano is the first contestant to secure a spot in the girl group being formed through the South Korean reality competition 'Universe Ticket' after reaching the P level, the highest ranking in the show.

The group will have eight members and will debut under entertainment company F&F.

Still in the running to be part of the group are Filipina Gehlee Dangca and Filipino-Korean Jin Hyeon-ju.

“Universe Ticket” features singer and actress Kim Se-jeong, singer Younha, and record producer Adora as judges.

On Instagram, Elisia received congratulatory messages from Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Kapuso Primetime Queen, Marian Rivera.

In November 2023, Filipina Sophia Laforteza became the first Filipino artist under the legendary South Korean agency HYBE. She's part of the girl group KATSEYE set to debut this year.
