Miss Universe Philippines announces upcoming local coronations

Who's excited to meet new queens this 2024?

Miss Universe Philippines on Thursday announced that several areas will soon be holding local coronations to determine who will compete in the national pageant this year.

From January 19 to February 5, nine areas will be holding their coronations: Pampanga, Batangas, Naic, Cagayan De Oro, Bohol, Tacloban, Cebu, Albay, and Quezon City.

"And 2024 is off to a roaring start!" the pageant body said in their Instagram post. "Who will represent these provinces and cities in the 2024 Miss Universe Philippines Competition?"

Michelle Dee is the reigning Miss Universe Philippines queen. In November, she represented the country in the Miss Universe pageant, finishing at Top 10 and winning several special awards, including Best National Costume .

The House of Representatives recognized her outstanding performance, and she was even chosen as the newest Department of Tourism ambassador .
