7 photography studios you can rent to have your portrait professionally taken
Whether to mark an occasion, commemorate an important time in your life, or simply just to have proper profile photo for your social channels, more and more people are turning to photography studios to get their photos professionally taken.
For good reason. Apart from talent photographers (and sometimes makeup artists and stylists), good equipment, and fast turnaround time, photography studios these days boast of Instagram-worthy aesthetics that are so easy on the eyes, mindless scrolling becomes impossible.
This Holiday season, consider gifting yourself (or your friends and family) some studio time. Below are seven we found.
1. Dos Studios

3. Box Camera PH
Want something different? Get your photo taken with a street box camera. Uh huh, it's analog photography that produces black-and-white 5x76 photos no digital filter can recreate.
Behind Box Camera PH is professional photographer Jovel Lorenzo who built his own street box camera using parts found on the internet at the height of the pandemic in 2020.
Images often look aged but Jovel says sittings often just take 15 minutes, with subjects holding their pose for just about 2 seconds.
After getting your photo taken, you wait for your photo to get developed, but not without seeing the negative through a phone camera with inverted display colors.
Box Camera PH now just usually does pop-ups with prints costing P3,000 each. But you may request for private sittings with Jovel on his Instagram page.
4. Schild Studios
It calls itself the Philippines' first all-in professional portrait studio for good reason. While its most basic package (Express at P5,950) comes with the services of a photographer, it has other packages that include the services of a hair stylist, a makeup artist (Spotlight at P8,950), as well as access to a styling closet (All-in at P13,950).
All files are sent within 24 hours post-ready, meaning they've been color-graded, with angle options and what-not. The more expensive packages will also give you video clips and USB copy of files.
Schild also has packages for maternity shoots (starts at P9950), couple shoots (starts at P15950), as well as group shoots (at P9950) ideal for family or barkada.
It's recommended to book at least 2 months ahead, with Schild requiring 50% downpayment. Sorry but no walkins allowed. RFM Corporate Center Pioneer St Mandaluyong City. Website. Instagram.
5. Espacio Creativo Escolta
The First United Building in Escolta is popular for a lot of things. Hub Make Lab occupies the ground floor, there is a co-working space at the top floor, and somewhere in between is Espacio Creative Escolta, a photography studio that boasts those large iconic windows that not only allow natural light in, but make for a gorgeous background in your photos.
They have two spaces for rent — Uno with its mid-century, modern and minimalist pieces, while Dos is Japanese inspired with its wabi-wabi pieces for the neutral and class aethestic.
Portrait packages start at P10,000, which comes with a 2-hour photo session, 2 wardrobe changes (care of the client), 15-20 hi-res edited images and of course, the time and talent of their in house photographer.
The Cuarzo (P15,000) includes a 3-hour session with a photographer plus the services of a makeup artist and hair stylist, 2 wardrobe changes and 30-40 hi-res images. If you choose the most expensive (P30,000), you also get 4 hours, 3 wardrobe changes and 50-60 hi-rest edited photos.
