Dingdong Dantes receives 'Firefly' storybook from author Augie Rivera

Dingdong Dantes just received an original storybook copy of "Firefly."

On Instagram, GMA Public Affairs shared a video taken at the set of "Family Feud," where "Firefly" author Augie Rivera handed a storybook copy to the Kapuso Primetime King.

In the video, Dingdong thanked the author for giving him a copy. He also said his kids, Zia and Sixto, love to read. 

"I'll make sure na ipapabasa ko sa kanila 'to," he said.

Dingdong stars in "Firefly," an official entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). He is joined by Alessandra De Rossi, Ysabel Ortega, and Miguel Tanfelix, among others.

Directed by Zig Dulay and produced by GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs, "Firefly" is a coming-of-age road trip drama about TonTon (Euwenn Mikaell Aleta) who searches for the mythical island described in his mother's bedtime stories.

It is set to hit local cinemas starting on Christmas Day. Here's a list of cinemas where you can watch it.
