University of Santo Tomas holds 'Paskuhan' 2023
Present and former students and even staff members of the University of Santo Tomas have gathered at the campus on España Boulevard in celebration of this year’s “Paskuhan.”
According to Raffy Tima’s report on “24 Oras,” Thursday, the yearly event, which marks the end of the university’s month-long Christmas celebration, features big bands and performers from the Philippines alongside performers from the school itself.
UST Communications Bureau Director Philippe Jose Hernandez said that this year is “very special” as the university has earned numerous achievements.
“Our alumni are treating this as like a Christmas party with homecoming, you know, with a homecoming flavor, and I think we are expecting a bigger crowd, a bigger Thomasians-only crowd compared to 2022,” he said.
In the 2019 “Paskuhan,” over 100,000 guests arrived at the university, which was open to everyone.
The “Paskuhan” tradition started in 1991, which also signified the beginning of Christmas break for the university.
A grand fireworks display also awaited the guests at the end of the program.
