Jimin of BTS to release new single 'Closer Than This'

Jimin of BTS has an early Christmas gift for ARMY!

The South Korean singer and dancer will be releasing a new solo digital single titled “Closer Than This.”

According to the announcement on the BTS Weverse page, the track “is a heartfelt fan song that encapsulates Jimin’s genuine feelings for ARMY.”

“As we approach the final days of 2023, we hope that ‘Closer Than This,’ with its lyrics conveying Jimin’s love and affection for his fans, will bring you hope and warmth,” the statement added.

“Closer Than This” drops on December 22 at 2 p.m. Korea time, or 1 p.m. in the Philippines.

Jimin released his debut solo album “Face” last March, which has the singles “Set Me Free Pt. 2” and "Like Crazy." The top idol is also part of the soundtrack of “Fast X.”

In April, Jimin became the first Korean soloist to hit no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

BTS is currently on hiatus as the members undergo their mandatory military service. They are set to reconvene as a group in 2025.

The new docuseries titled “BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star” is now streaming on Disney+.
