Put your seat belts on, because the Battle at the Garbage Dump is happening soon!
TOHO Animation on Saturday released an exciting trailer for the upcoming movie “Haikyu!! The Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump," and it's everything.
The trailer opens with a throwback scene of the first meeting between Hinata Shouyou and Kozume Kenma, who turn out to be on rival volleyball teams, Karauso and Nekoma.
It then shows clips of the long-awaited match between the two teams, whose members have become friends after multiple practice games together.
From Nekoma's Kuroo Tetusurou to Karasuno's Sawamura Daichi, the trailer shows familiar faces. Well-loved characters from other teams, such as Bokuto Koutarou and Akaashi Keiji, also made a cameo.
The so-called Battle at the Garbage Dump takes place during the Tokyo Nationals, which first kicked off in Season 4 of the anime.
“Haikyu!! The Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump" is set to hit theaters in Japan on February 16.
"Haikyuu" is based on the manga by Haruichi Furudate that ended in July 2020. The anime adaptation began airing in 2014. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
