Ben&Ben releases moving music video for 'Courage'
Ben&Ben explored themes of mental health and rising through struggles in their latest music video.
“Courage,” the band’s latest single, opens with a trigger warning that says the video shows scenes depicting self-harm that may cause distress.
The video shows people struggling with bullying, failing in school, work stress, and debt. However, it also shows scenes of living through these challenges by having courage and with the help of the right people.
The music video ends with the message, “For your future self, keep carrying on. But if you feel you no longer can, it’s OK to ask for help.”
Links and hotline numbers for mental health services were also posted.
Ben&Ben released “Courage” in October. In a heartfelt Instagram post related to the song, vocalist Paolo Benjamin thanked his past self and said that all his struggles were worth it.
