SEVENTEEN member Jeonghan to miss 'Follow' tour in Asia due to ankle injury
SEVENTEEN member Jeonghan will miss the group’s “Follow” tour in Bulacan and other stops in Asia.
In a post on Weverse, PLEDIS Entertainment, the band’s label, said that Jeonghan “previously suffered an injury to his left ankle and has been receiving several conservative treatments.”
The member still participated in the group’s activities this year despite the injury while also getting regular checkups.
However, as PLEDIS mentioned, while performing on the recent tour, Jeonghan’s “ankle pain worsened.”
He underwent surgery today, December 14, and it was successful.
“We believed that it was in the artist’s best interest to prioritize his recovery and rehabilitation above all else at this time. Therefore, it will be difficult for Jeonghan to participate in official activities for the time being, including the upcoming SEVENTEEN tour “Follow” to Japan Fukuoka concert and the “Follow” to Asia concerts in Bangkok, Bulacan, and Macao. We ask for your generous understanding,” PLEDIS added.
Prior to the announcement of Jeonghan’s absence in the upcoming shows, PLEDIS also announced that member S.Coups will also skip the shows as he is also recovering from an injury.
SEVENTEEN is set to perform at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan for their two-day Follow to Bulacan concert on January 13-14, 2023.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN’s BSS, the subunit BooSeokSoon composed of members DK, Hoshi, and Seungkwan, is currently in the Philippines for the Asia Artist Awards 2023 at the Philippine Arena.
Rest well, Jeonghan!
