Fiesta Carnival is finally open!

Fiesta Carnival is back!

According to Katrina Son’s report on “24 Oras Weekend'' on Saturday, the iconic attraction opened its doors once again at Araneta City in Cubao, Quezon City, after almost two decades since it closed down.

Fiesta Carnival first opened in 1971 and was dubbed ''Manila’s Mini Disneyland.''  It was open to guests year-round for leisure and amusement.

However, it closed its doors in the early 2000s.

Now that it’s back, the park is bigger, better, and brighter, with more rides and attractions, including the kids’ play area, arcade, skating park, and trampolines.

“Nung kabataan namin, lagi kaming dinadala dito ng mama at papa namin kaming tatlong magkakapatid. Ang dami rin ng rides nung panahon na ‘yon, ta’s madaming tao. It’s very nostalgic kaya itong opportunity na ‘to, we’re so happy na nag-open again and I’m bringing my daughter now so she can experience the fun here,” visitor Marvi Mae Millanes said.

“This is a Christmas treat from Araneta City to everyone, from the older generation to the new generation. Parang gusto naming i-pass on ‘yung experience ng mga older generation like us,” Araneta Group vice president for marketing Marjorie Go said.

Admission is free at the Fiesta Carnival, which will hold its grand opening day on December 15. —Carby Basina/VBL, GMA Integrated News
