Bretman Rock sends hilarious audition video to The Rock for 'Moana' live-action
You can always count on Bretman Rock to go the extra mile!
The Filipino content creator has said in several Instagram posts that he wants to have the role of Heihei in the “Moana” live-action film. Heihei is the ditsy, accident-prone rooster who unexpectedly joins Moana on her journey.
Bretman has been sending messages to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who plays Maui, for his consideration.
Previously, he sent the actor a fanmade Change.Org campaign for him to get the role as well as a voice audition.
This time, to show how much he wants the role, Bretman got all dressed up in a chicken costume and had a basket prop in place of the coconut used in the original scene.
He sent a video to The Rock while holding one of his pet chickens. He said, “I understand that my last audition was a voice audition, and I understand that the new movie is a live-action.”
"So I’m sure you would want a Heihei that can act," Bretman added. "So today, I’m gonna be recreating one of the scenes from the movie.”
For the scene, Bretman moved behind some of his plants and hilariously did the scene of Heihei’s loud rooster call after removing a coconut shell from his head.
He then told The Rock, “I really think that it’s time for Mahu representation, and I feel like ‘Moana’ was lacking that.”
“And I really feel like a gay chicken makes so much sense,” he added. “So the decision is up to you. The ball is in your court. And yeah, let me know.”
Aside from dressing up a chicken, more of Bretman’s recent epic looks include Aladdin and Mowgli from “The Jungle Book.”
