'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' to premiere with two episodes, drops season one episode list

Just a few more weeks to go and we’ll get to meet Percy Jackson!
In a post on Instagram, the official Percy Jackson and the Olympians account revealed that the show will premiere with two episodes alongside the rest of the season’s episode titles.
“Destiny awaits. The two-episode premiere of #PercyJackson and the Olympians is only the beginning. Start streaming December 20 on @disneyplus,” the post read.
Some of the episodes include: “I Accidentally Vaporize My Pre-algebra Teacher,” “I Become Supreme Lord of the Bathroom,” “We Visit the Garden Gnome Emporium,” and “A God Buys Us Cheeseburgers,” among others.
Season One will have eight episodes.
Based on the comments under the Instagram post, it seems fans of the book are looking forward to the series and happy about the episode titles.
“They are really using the chapter titles, they are about to show how you make a REAL adaptation,” a netizen commented.
“Oh my gods it’s just like the books THIS IS AMAZING,” said another fan.
The live action adaptation of “Percy Jackson” was announced in 2020, with author Rick Riordan making the official announcement on X (formerly Twitter).
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Riordan shared that he’s involved in the series and that it will be a “faithful adaptation.”
“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” dropped its teaser on August 19. It stars Walker Scobelle as Percy, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood.
Lin-Manuel Miranda will also play the role of Hermes, the messenger of the gods, in the series.
Stream “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” starting on December 20 at Disney Plus.
