7 BTS comfort songs to listen to during their military service

When it was announced early this week that the remaining members of BTS—RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—had already initiated the military enlistment process, it was sad news for ARMY.

With all seven members set to begin their military service soon, and their reunion as a group in 2025 still a long way away, here are seven songs to bring comfort during moments when you miss your favorite boys a little extra.

1. 'Spring Day'

Dubbed as one of the most emotional songs by the global popstars, “Spring Day” has been a popular song for the BTS ARMY to turn to when they need a little extra comfort.

“Spring Day” feels like a much-needed warm hug. The band members explore themes of loss, longing, and grief from not seeing the people you love, as well as moving on because there’s still life out there.

And in case you need extra warmth, just remember its closing lines: “No darkness, no season, can last forever.”

2. 'A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone'

“A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone” is a song filled with perfect reminders.

RM, Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook sing about being covered in scars and going through a lot of pain, but still knowing that they can get through it when they are together.

So BTS ARMY, always know that you never walk alone.

3. 'Magic Shop'

“Magic Shop” is a song written with the BTS ARMY in mind.

When you feel frustrated, afraid, alone, tired, or sad, BTS reminds fans that they have a magic shop in their hearts. When the door to the shop is opened, the seven boys are there waiting, with all the love and appreciation they have to give to their fans.

4. 'Mikrokosmos'

Here’s another reminder for the BTS ARMY: you are your own universe.

In “Mikrokosmos,” the group reminds fans that the brightest of lights shine in the dark, and that “shine, dream, smile” are words to live by.

5. 'For Youth'

“For Youth” features some special participation from ARMY, which goes to show how much they mean to BTS.

The song begins with ARMY singing “Young Forever” at BTS' concert in Wembley Stadium, London. This performance was historic, marking BTS as the first K-Pop group to grace the iconic venue, where they held two sold-out nights.

In this track from their anthology album “Proof,” BTS looks back on their journey, starting out as aspiring artists and how ARMY’s love and support kept them going.

6. 'Take Two'

“Take Two” was a song BTS released on their 10th anniversary last June. It marks BTS moving onto their new chapter, but also serves as a message to fans that they will stay together forever.

As a special treat, the seven members got together for a performance video which was recorded before Jin and J-Hope enlisted in the military.

7. 'We are Bulletproof: the Eternal'

“We are Bulletproof : the Eternal” is the ultimate love letter.

The Bangtan Boys traced their journey from their trainee days, where they stayed up all night practicing, through the challenges they faced as new artists, to their current success.

BTS sang about how ARMY completes them, and also celebrated their lives as “forever bulletproof.”
