PETA opens casting call for 'One More Chance' musical


Auditions are now open for One More Chance The Musical

Have you always wanted to conquer the stage?

You now have the chance to audition because the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) has posted a casting call for “One More Chance, The Musical.”

Applicants are required to submit a video of themselves performing 16 bars or a stanza and a chorus of any Ben&Ben or OPM song, along with four bars of choreography to any contemporary modern music.

For video auditions, ensure it is well-lit, in landscape mode, and shows the full body.

Additionally, applicants must include a quick self-introduction covering name, age, height, and the last production they participated in.

The deadline for submission of audition videos is November 26 at 11:59 p.m. Live auditions at the PETA Theater Center are scheduled from December 4 to 5, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., while callbacks are slated for December 12 and 13 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Casting briefs have been released for characters such as Popoy, Basha, and their closest friends – Krizzy, Kenneth, Anj, and Chinno.

“One More Chance” tells the love story of Popoy and Basha, played by John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo. The film, released in 2007, continues to be a part of Pinoy pop culture over a decade after its release.

“One More Chance, The Musical” will feature the songs of OPM band Ben&Ben. The musical was announced by PETA on October 23, to the delight of fans and even the movie’s stars like Dimples Romana, who played Krizzy in the movie.

“One More Chance, The Musical” is set to open in April 2024 at the PETA Theater Center.
